The functional and ergonomic Perimeter Guard for Machinery.
EasyGuard is a Perimeter Guarding System that is simple and effective. Two smooth-surface post options, a new welded baseplate and the practical Clamp assembly make EasyGuard a suitable choice for the protection of most industrial applications.
New posts without holes
The new EasyGuard posts come without holes on all 4 sides, ensuring an aesthetic look and perfect interchangeability anywhere in the layout. They are available in 40 mm and 60 mm sections to ensure greater resistance to possible accidental impacts from the outside.
A new design for Satech baseplates
A new 3-anchoring points baseplate that ensures the best grip on the ground, reduces installation time and can be tilted to compensate for floor inclination. A Standard feature on all Satech systems in painted steel.
New Baseplate
- Stability and resistance
- Optimized ground anchoring
- Adjustable tilting
Intuitive assembly
EasyGuard’s new Clamp with captive retained screws (2006/42/EC Machinery Directive) and the new posts with 3 anchoring points make assembly easy and reduce time spent installing the Perimeter Guard.

Perimeter Guards for Machinery: frequently asked questions (FAQ)
When is EasyGuard the right perimeter guard for machinery?
EasyGuard is the right Satech system when the installation requires frequent access for maintenance or cleaning: the simplified clip system allows a panel to be removed quickly, reducing machine downtime. It is also suited to fixed layouts for general applications where ease of installation and routine maintenance are the priority. For environments with high impact risk or heavy industrial robots, ImpactGuard is the recommended choice.
What is the difference between EasyGuard and FastGuard?
EasyGuard and FastGuard are both modular perimeter guards for machinery with a 20 mm frame, but they meet different requirements.
EasyGuard features posts (available in 40 or 60 mm section) and a quick-release clip fixing system with captive screw: it is the perimeter guard for machinery suited to standard applications, installations with frequent maintenance and fixed layouts. FastGuard has no posts in the panel (self-supporting structure), reducing assembly time by up to 70% and making it ideal for installations with automated conveyor systems and, in general, for areas with limited impact risk.
Impact resistance also differs: EasyGuard reaches 250 J, FastGuard between 390 and 500 J depending on the variant. The choice depends on the Risk Assessment and the type of layout.
What is the impact resistance of EasyGuard and when is it sufficient?
This perimeter guard for machinery is tested to 250 J according to EN ISO 14120 Annex C: a value that exceeds the normative minimum of 115 J by 100%, corresponding to the impact force of a person of approximately 90 kg falling accidentally against the guard. This value is sufficient for the vast majority of standard manufacturing applications: machine tools, assembly lines, inspection cells, packaging installations.
However, the forces involved vary depending on the machine type and operation: to determine whether EasyGuard is the right solution for your specific application, a Risk Assessment according to EN ISO 12100 is required. If the results require higher resistance, AdaptaGuard (up to 1600 J) or systems with even higher resistance are the alternatives to consider.
How does EasyGuard's clamp assembly work?
The EasyGuard clamp attaches the panel to the post with a vertical movement. The system uses a captive screw (which cannot be lost during operations) and reduces installation time by up to 25% compared to traditional systems, making removal and reinstallation fast and repeatable.
The system is certified as a fixed guard according to EN ISO 14120: removal requires a deliberate action and cannot occur accidentally.
Which panel types are compatible with the EasyGuard modular perimeter guard?
EasyGuard, with its 20 mm frame, is compatible with: standard mesh, polycarbonate for visibility into the protected area, and composite panels in mesh+polycarbonate or mesh+sheet combinations. FullSteel panels in bent sheet without frame are not compatible with the clip fixing system: for a solid panel, Mix&Match posts and captive screw mounting must be used.
Which perimeter guard for machinery is best suited to frequent maintenance?
For installations with frequent maintenance, EasyGuard is the most suitable perimeter guard for machinery: panels can be removed and reinstalled quickly thanks to the simplified clip system, reducing unplanned machine downtime.
For installations requiring very frequent access to the protected area, the appropriate solution is to integrate a door with an interlocking system into the EasyGuard perimeter: this allows quick opening while keeping the machine stopped. Our Technical Office is available to advise on the most suitable configuration.
How do I fit door hinges if EasyGuard posts have no holes?
Doors in all Satech systems are assembled using Mix&Match posts, drilled on three sides and designed for mounting hinges and accessories. In an EasyGuard perimeter, the posts dedicated to doors are immediately recognisable: they are the only ones with holes, while standard EasyGuard posts have none, to prevent the accumulation of dust and debris.
In Satech systems that include Mix&Match posts as standard, each post can be used interchangeably for fixed panels or doors. Visit our Satech Standard Doors page for all available accessories.
Do the 40 mm posts of EasyGuard provide sufficient stability for large layouts?
Yes. The 40 mm posts of the EasyGuard system provide stability and robustness even for large layouts under standard operating conditions, without requiring additional reinforcements.
For more demanding applications, such as continuous vibrations, high dynamic loads or frequent passages of heavy vehicles, accessories such as bracing reinforcements can be integrated, or 60 mm posts can be selected, available in the EasyGuard 60 system. Our Technical Office is available for a free assessment of your specific layout.
Is an EasyGuard mesh panel less resistant than an ImpactGuard panel?
No. The framed mesh panels of the EasyGuard and ImpactGuard systems are identical, available in 20 and 30 mm sections. The difference in impact resistance coefficient according to Annex C of EN ISO 14120 depends on the assembly method, not the panel: EasyGuard uses a quick-release clip capable of withstanding impacts up to 250 J; ImpactGuard is fixed to posts with BHC captive screws, raising resistance to up to 2200 J (2600 J for the version with 60 mm posts and 30 mm frame).
Can the EasyGuard modular perimeter guard be installed outdoors?
No. Modular perimeter guards for machinery such as EasyGuard are, like all Satech protection systems, specifically designed for use in industrial indoor environments. The standard powder coating is intended for enclosed spaces such as production halls and warehouses, where posts without holes offer the additional advantage of not retaining dust or moisture inside. For particular finishing or protection requirements, custom treatments (CustomGuard) can be requested.
