The Safety Fence with the quickest assembly.
FastGuard is the Perimeter Safety Fence with no posts combining simplicity, convenience and versatility. Like all Satech Systems, it can be complemented by our range of doors and accessories. FastGuard is ideal for uses such as the partitioning of areas and the protection of conveyor belts on automatic lines.
Great time saving, maximum effectiveness
FastGuard saves up to 70% assembly time while ensuring a minimum resistance to impacts of 390 J (even for the FastGuard 20 version).
Simplicity and stability
The new tiltable baseplates with 3-anchoring point locking forks connect modular panels in the lower part. For more stability, the upper part is connected by captive retained Nuts and Bolts or by an elastic shaped joint.

Perimeter Safety Fences: frequently asked questions (FAQ)
When is FastGuard the right perimeter safety fence?
FastGuard is the right choice when the project calls for fast installation and the impact risk is limited. Tested to 390 J (FG20) and 500 J (FG30) per EN ISO 14120, this perimeter safety fence suits machines and installations where the Risk Assessment does not require high impact values: automated conveyor systems, conveyors, light assembly lines, inspection cells.
For environments with heavy industrial robots or significant internal impact risk, ImpactGuard is the reference system.
FastGuard is also used as a partition for zone separation — in warehouses and production facilities — to divide work areas, traffic lanes or AGV zones. In this context it does not function as a safeguard under EN ISO 14120, but as a physical separation element. The distinction matters: correct use must always be determined by a Risk Assessment under EN ISO 12100.
What is the minimum height for this perimeter safety fence?
Minimum height is defined by EN ISO 13857 based on the distance between the fence and the hazard point. The standard minimum height for FastGuard is 1620 mm. Where the risk of climbing over requires greater height, FastGuard is also available in 2220 mm and 2620 mm (the latter only with a 30 mm frame).
Is this perimeter safety fence suitable for AGV or mobile robot installations?
Yes. FastGuard's self-supporting structure has no vertical posts — instead it uses fork bases that connect panels at the bottom, leaving the floor free and eliminating obstacles for AGVs and automated conveyor systems at dedicated openings. With assembly time savings of up to 70%, FastGuard is the ideal solution for logistics and automation facilities where the layout needs to be reconfigured periodically.
What is the difference between FastGuard 20 and FastGuard 30?
FastGuard 30 (30 mm frame) is tested to 500 J per EN ISO 14120 and reaches heights up to 2620 mm, suited to environments with higher impact risk or tall vertical layouts. FastGuard 20 (20 mm frame) has a minimum resistance of 390 J and covers heights up to 2220 mm: the right choice for low-to-medium risk applications.
Can this perimeter safety fence be reconfigured after installation?
That is FastGuard's key differentiator. Panels are supported and secured by the same fork bases with a top connection: the 3-step assembly can be managed by a single operator. The modular design allows the production layout to be reconfigured by reusing the same bases and panels, with no component replacement needed. Our Technical Office is available to evaluate your specific requirements.
Does this perimeter safety fence comply with the Machinery Directive?
Yes. FastGuard is designed and tested to EN ISO 14120 and meets the essential requirements of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. 3D CAD models for integration into the machine technical file are available for free download on TraceParts.
What type of doors are used with this postless safety fence system?
Although FastGuard panels are supported by fork bases with no vertical posts, doors use standard Mix&Match posts, drilled on three sides for hinges, accessories and hardware. Mix&Match posts integrate directly into the FastGuard system while keeping the same ease of installation. Components are supplied in labelled kits including the assembly instructions. Doors are compatible with the full range of Satech locking systems, from low-PLr devices up to Type 4 Safety Switches, based on the performance level (PLr) determined by the Risk Assessment.
Can this perimeter safety fence withstand the impact of an industrial robot?
FastGuard is tested to 500 J (30 mm frame) and 390 J (20 mm frame) per EN ISO 14120 Annex C. If your Risk Assessment under EN ISO 12100 indicates limited values, FastGuard is the right solution. For cells with heavy robots or high-energy material projection, the recommended system is ImpactGuard, tested to 2200 J.
Can this perimeter safety fence be installed outdoors?
No. FastGuard, like all Satech perimeter safety fences, is designed specifically for use in industrial indoor environments. The standard powder coating suits enclosed spaces such as production halls and warehouses. For specific finishing or protection requirements, custom treatments are available through CustomGuard.
